The Mad Hatter believes there’s always time for a party – Especially a Christmas Party! But will anyone come? Did Alice deliver the invitations? Can his dear friends the Caterpillar and the March Hare prepare in time? 

The Mad Hatter finds himself feeling in a funk on the day of his very special Christmas Party. This slightly mad and heart-warmingly fun story highlights the importance of friendship, self-love and kindness. Join the Mad Hatter, as he discovers friendship and funk can help him find his happy place.

A 50-minute Christmassy visual and musical delight! The Mad Hatter’s Funk is a high energy interactive experience which will have you dancing in the aisles and giggling along immersed in a visual wonderland.

Suited for children of all ages!

Make a Birthday Booking

Thank you for choosing to book your little person's special day with us here at Whoa! Studios. We really love making kids feel extra special on their birthdays so if there's a way we can go the extra mile please let us know!

In the meantime please provide us some information by completing the form on this page.  We can then confirm availability. Don't worry if you don't have all the info just yet. We can work through this with you.

Please provide us your estimated maximum numbers of adults and children by completing the booking form below.


Booking Process

Once we receive your completed Booking Form, we will check availability for your preferred date. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be contacted to confirm final numbers and pay for the Entertainment (per Child) via credit card over the phone. This deposit secures your overall booking.

We require 72 hours cancellation in writing prior to your event should you need to change the date.  If your cancellation is received 48-hours before your party, this will result in a 50% forfeit of your deposit, and 100% deposit forfeit if received within 24 hours (also applied to No-Shows).  However we recognise life's messy(particularly since Covid-19) so we also allow 1 rescheduling your booking within 30 Days to retain your deposit.
Should a Government Imposed (Level 3 or 4) Lockdown occur in Auckland, which impacts your party, we will refund 100% of your deposit.

The restaurant at Whoa! Studios – The Grounds, by Ben Bayly, produces wholesome, healthy and fresh food daily. We want your birthday memories to include healthy entertainment, play and food experiences. The food is served in a banquet style in the middle of the table for the children to pick and choose what they would like.  Our restaurant is extremely busy during peak times and offering the best value food packages from the menu will ensure your experience will be fitting for your special day.  View Kids Birthday Menu here.

Additional Pricing:
Additional Kid’s Lunch (not part of package):   $19.50 per child
Adult’s Lunch:  $0-45.00 per adult. View Set Menu here.

Please Note All food costs are to be paid to The Grounds on the day of the party.  This way you can add any additional food items and this will be charged with your final food package bill.

We Take Your Health Seriously

In this crazy Covid-effected world, we can still have fun safely.  The team at Whoa! Studios and The Grounds work hard to ensure the safety of our visitors and team by following the Ministry of Health Level protocols.  We also; clean more frequently, have a zero tolerance policy to winter sniffles (staff must stay home) and have positioned added hand sanitising stations around the venue.  If you have any special requests or needs to ensure your family has a safe visit please let us know.
